At Greenfields Primary, kindness, care, and consideration are at the heart of our school community. To support one another and strengthen safeguarding, we have created a Children’s Safeguarding Board in Key Stage Two, known as the Safe Squad. Their role is to champion safety across the school and ensure every child feels protected and supported.
Working closely with Mrs Prior and Mrs Williams, members of the Safe Squad gain the skills and confidence to respond when classmates share worries or concerns. They are easy to spot during break and lunchtimes thanks to their lanyards, making them approachable for anyone who needs a listening ear.
Beyond this, the Safe Squad take an active role in promoting safety through creative poster designs, classroom visits, and contributions to assemblies. Their work helps embed a culture of care and responsibility, ensuring that safety is visible, valued, and lived out every day at Greenfields.
